Personal Colour Guide
Buy this item
The Personal Colour Guides were created in 1965 by Bernat Klein from six oil studies of the constituent colours of the human eye, with the aim of presenting distinct combinations for use by his fashion textile customers.
Each guide was designed to contain a set of removable ‘colour chips’ of light and dark tones, harmonising colours, contrasting colours, and neutrals, which all related to Klein’s individual iris study. An extract from Eye for Colour was also included as a booklet, which gave the background story and general ideas behind the Personal Colour Guides.
These are presented for sale as original copies from Bernat Klein’s personal collection.
