Reimagining Prints for a Sustainable Future

Run by Lynsey Calder from Glasgow School Art, you will be introduced to a sample of Bernat Klein’s original printed collection of fabrics, her own interpretation of one of these designs from initial photograph to reproduction and invite discussion around his inspirations for choice of colour, proportion and scale in his printed designs.

About

All participants will have the opportunity to use a selection of coloured papers to explore a hands on method of creating abstract collaged multicoloured designs inspired by the Bernat Klein print and painted archive.

We will transform a final collaged design into a repeat pattern that participants can take away with them.

1 day workshop on 5th or 6th March. 10 places on each day.

9.30am – 4.30pm at Borders Textiles Towerhouse, Hawick TD9 9EN.

These workshops are free and include lunch and all materials.
